As we prepare to embark on our Central American journey tonight, Diane and I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement for the new year ahead, brimming with the promise of fresh adventures and countless photographic opportunities in countries overflowing with natural beauty and rich culture. Tonight, we find ourselves at the gate, ready to board our Copa Flight CM253, bound for the vibrant lands of Panama and Costa Rica, settling into our familiar seats, 3E and 3F, prepared for takeoff.
For the past 53 years, we’ve shared a deep passion for travel, a yearning to explore the world, and a shared dedication to pursuing our dreams of new explorations. It all started with a simple road trip, a map, and a desire to see what lay beyond our familiar surroundings. Over the years, this passion has evolved into a lifelong quest, a relentless pursuit of that elusive, perfect image that will one day be immortalized within my Nikon’s Z7II 250 TB memory.
We plan to wander through Panama City, where modern skyscrapers meet historical landmarks, reflecting the country’s dynamic spirit and significant role as a global crossroads. Then, we’ll go to Costa Rica, a land of verdant rainforests, stunning coastlines, and active volcanoes. It’s a biodiversity hotspot, offering a unique glimpse into the natural world and a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers.

Sitting on our hotel balcony, as we prepare for our next destination, Costa Rica, the night sky over the Panama Canal unfolds like a celestial canvas, reminiscent of moments passed under unforgettable skies.
